How to choose
- Where does the strip sit? Coves and shelves take 8–10 mm strip; profiles and furniture take COB for a dot-free line; exteriors and wet areas need IP65 or higher.
- Voltage and run length? 24 V runs up to 5 m per feed with less voltage drop than 12 V; longer runs need a feed at each end or a higher-voltage system.
- Colour? Fixed white (2700–6500 K), tunable white for hospitality, RGB or RGBW for effect lighting; CRI 90+ where colours must look right.
- Driver and profile? Size the driver for the total wattage plus 20% headroom, and choose an aluminium profile that matches the strip width to dissipate heat.
