How to choose
- Mast height and area? Ports and container yards run 25–40 m masts with 400–1,500 W units; the lumen budget comes from the area and the lux target, typically 20–50 lux for storage and 100 lux for handling.
- Beam pattern? Asymmetric optics push light forward from a perimeter mast; symmetric optics suit a mast in the middle of an area.
- Wind and vibration? Check the fixture weight and windage against the mast rating, and specify vibration-tested units for cranes and moving structures.
